Our facility is located on a quiet block in San Francisco’s Mission neighborhood. Our open and sunny classroom has space for creating, building, and pretending as well as relaxing with a friend and a good book. There is also a kitchen where we prepare our vegetarian, largely organic snacks and lunches - often with children’s help. Children have open access to the patio with sand, water and a hammock as well as a climbing wall. They can also spend time in the yard we call the ‘bosque’ with fruit trees, a chicken coop, and a vegetable garden as well as space for climbing, running and building with hollow blocks and loose parts. One day a week, we leave all this behind and travel by Muni to Glen Canyon Park, where we spend the day hiking, climbing trees and boulders, and playing in nature.
